How Vitamin Patches can Streamline your Wellness Regime

If you’re like me, you’ve decided that supplementing your diet is increasingly important. The most noticeable part of being in my thirties is how my pantry evolved to include products that go into my body to increase my energy, bolster my immune system, take the edge off, and help me get a good night’s sleep.

These products include things like herbal teas, multivitamin compresses, B12 tablets, Ashwagandha, melatonin, green tea extracts, 5-HTP... you get the picture. And if you get the picture, it means that you understand the demands of keeping your wellness routine in check, day after day.

Wellness supplements regimes are getting harder to swallow

Take this morning, for example. I boiled some water for my coffee and poured it over the grounds in my French press. While that was brewing, I cut up a lemon to add to my water, then I began the other ritual. Counting out my tablets and powders so I can boost my energy, level out, and introduce some fiber in my system, all before sinking my teeth into any actual food.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve felt the difference that supplements make in my day-to-day and during my workouts. The pandemic has us all a bit sheltered so keeping up a healthy routine is more important to me than ever. Anything that helps me tear myself away from my work (ie my laptop) to get my blood flowing and work up a sweat is something I’m interested in doing.

The problem is, it’s a chore. And when a chore isn’t easily manageable, a lot of us tend to give up on it. So really imagine what it is to make health-conscious choices in your diet and, on top of that, manage a routine of smoothies and powders and pills and creams.

That wellness routine is starting to sound pretty stressful, right?

Now I’m not saying that these products don’t work, quite the contrary. What I am saying is that when these products are made, companies focus on what’s in it and if it’ll work, which is great. But too few of them are asking other important questions:

Is this manageable? Is this sustainable?

Why streamlining healthy routines is so important

By now, you’ve hopefully connected with some of the frustration I’ve felt with the challenge of keeping the temple in relatively good shape. Actually, you should be neatly divided into two camps at this point.

Camp A agrees with me and wonders what can be done to simplify the whole process.

Camp B agrees but understands that nothing good comes easy. A lot of athletes and type-a personalities fall into this camp.

I won’t argue with the objection, but I will talk about the benefits of saving time without sacrificing the quality of the ritual.

And that’s what it is, a ritual. Like the making of that morning coffee, a daily workout, or reading a few pages of a good book, rituals do quite a bit to define us. We use our limited bandwidth to ensure, as often as possible, that we can perform them because they make us feel good, or productive, or smart; however you want to define it.

When someone says they’ve given up on their wellness routine, it means that it wasn’t sustainable enough to keep on their radar.

Granted, e-commerce has made it easier than ever to get wellness products delivered, but it does nothing to simplify the process. And the process is a huge piece of the puzzle.

Vitamin patches streamline wellness for busy people

Dermal vitamin patches are not only growing in popularity, but their impact on wellness is also positive to the point of being a bit surprising.

I don’t want to get into the science of vitamin patches and how they’re so easily absorbed into your system, but I understood the appeal right away. We’re talking abouta plug-and-play wellness productthat can help relieve anxiety, give you a boost, or help you sleep; all in the time it takes you to apply it to your skin. Forgetting about everything else for a second, that’s a pretty sweet deal.

Whether you’re motivated, lazy, working, or on the move, it’s a completely sustainable way to keep complement your wellness routine. And in the case of slow-release therapy patches, you’ll experience their benefits over approximately 8 hours.

I’ve been the guy who hits a slump in the early afternoon and gets another coffee or a drink to wash down my ashwagandha tablet (even though I’m too busy) just to give myself a kick in the butt. Now, some patches contain b-12, b-6, green tea extract, and ginseng root, which is a healthier, natural and fast way to maintain my energy levels.

Why vitamin patches should matter to you

Seriously, why should you care? Just as I wrote earlier, our rituals define us so we shouldn’t be making the effort to shake things up. If it ain’t broke, right?

Absolutely. I’ve often found myself attached to my routines because they work and they feel good. But that doesn’t mean they’re efficient. I’ll bring back my coffee example one last time because it fits and, hell, I like coffee.

I take my time making coffee in the morning because the result is a richer and bolder flavour profile and that makes me happy. If you tell me to drink instant because it’s easier and faster, I’ll become your mortal enemy. But if you tell me I could have that same satisfying taste without sacrificing the time it took to make it, I’d be as many of you are with the vitamin patch:

Apprehensive, but intrigued.

Some parting thoughts...

I’m not telling you to dive into this. We’re all different and we all have different ways of getting through the day. Luckily, vitamin patches are affordable enough to satisfy your curiosity, since a month’s supply will run you under 25 bucks.

The wellness movement is huge, and there’s a lot of information (and misinformation) out there. So I encourage you to spend a bit of time learning about the benefit of vitamin patches from multiple sources before deciding if it’s right for you.
